Illegitimate or Miraculous Jesus Film in Bangladesh “Our JESUS film team contacted Luckes, the village leader who was a very well-educated man, to help us organize a film showing. We invited him to stay and watch the film, but after hearing it was about Jesus, he reacted and said, ‘I heard that the birth of Jesus was illegitimate and I do not want to see the film about him. You go to another place to show your film.’

“We overlooked this man’s rejection and asked him to listen to our Bible reading for a few minutes. I read Matthew 1:18 – 25 to him and explained the meaning of Jesus’ virgin birth from the scripture which says, ‘What was conceived in her was from the Holy Spirit.’ He is called Immanuel which means God is with us’.

“Luckes thought for a while and said that he had not known about this miraculous birth. He accepted our invitation to view the film and watched with great concentration.

“After seeing the film, he came to us and said, ‘Dear brothers, I am extremely sorry for my unfair comment about Jesus’ birth. I now believe that Jesus is the most sacred religious leader. I realize today that His miraculous life and great sacrifice for all mankind proved that He really is the Son of God. You can continue your film showings in different locations around our village. I will personally help you with the film showings, in your preaching, and in whatever way I can.’

“This statement, coming from a highly-educated, local leader made us extremely happy, and we thanked God from the core of our hearts. As a result of the JESUS film showings, 25 men and women expressed their desire to accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord. We started two new mission churches and Brother Luckes is now actively leading this group of new believers. We continue our work preaching the Gospel and showing the film in this village.”
